Student Leaders and Student Representive Council

2011 Student Leaders:

School Captain:  Daley Siggs

School Vice Captain:  Bridget Cavanagh

All students at St Saviour's are encouraged to develop leadership skills in order to become women who will make a positive difference in the world. Along with informal opportunities to develop such skills, one structure that exists to encourage student leadership is the Student Representative Council (SRC).

Year 12 students who hold official leadership positions (College and House Captains and Vice Captains, Boarding leaders and leaders of Sophia's Circles) are joined by elected Year 11 students to form the Senior SRC. This group is led by the College Captain and Vice Captain under the guidance of the Deputy Principal.

Year 9 and 10 students are elected to the Junior SRC each semester while Year 8 students join after Term 1.

The SRC organises many activities for the students. These include lunch time activities and fundraising activities. Each year the SRC decides which organisations they will support in their fundraising. In previous years these have included

  • The Kim Walters Foundation
  • Young Women's Place
  • Harmony Day
  • Project Compassion
